RTK Reference Infrastructure for Precision Agriculture
Plan a fixed GNSS reference service for tractors, agricultural vehicles and compatible farm positioning terminals. Define correction access, field coverage and machine integration before deployment.

Build the reference layer for a compatible agricultural positioning system. Keep the base installation fixed and evaluate machine terminals, antennas, power and application integration together.
The field challenge
Farm-scale deployment must account for reference-site stability, mobile network availability, receiver compatibility and machine power. Delivering correction data is only one part of a complete guidance or steering system.

A reference-to-field architecture
Begin with one GB30 complete kit at the fixed reference location. Use direct NTRIP where the correction service is reachable. A compatible tunnel can avoid dedicated public-IP and port-forwarding requirements. Separate farm locations may require additional independent sources and site validation.

Deployment example
The following illustrates a project workflow; it is not a report of a commissioned customer installation.
A farm operates several machines from a central service building. The outdoor reference antenna is mounted at a stable site and connected to an indoor GB30. Compatible agricultural RTK receivers obtain corrections from the farm's selected source, while the integrator validates the vehicle installation and task requirements in representative fields.
Survey the fixed site
Check the outdoor antenna location, stable coordinates, weather exposure of installation accessories and indoor power arrangement.
Validate the correction path
Test network reachability and correction continuity along representative field routes with the intended machine receiver.
Integrate the terminal
For GK101M, confirm external DC power, mounting, serial or network connections and the required external receiver antennas.
Run a task-specific trial
Use the machine supplier's procedure to evaluate positioning, heading where required, loss of corrections and recovery behavior.

Acceptance and handover
• Reference stability and correction reachability across representative fields
• Compatible RTCM / NTRIP configuration for the chosen receiver
• Verified vehicle power, mounting and interface protection
• Application-level behavior during correction interruptions
Define your quotation
• Which machine receivers, correction formats and guidance systems are already installed?
• How many machines need simultaneous correction access?
• Is heading required, and what antenna baseline and installation can the vehicle support?
Common project questions
Does GB30 provide tractor steering by itself?
No. GB30 supplies reference correction infrastructure. Guidance, steering control, machine interfaces and operational safety belong to the selected agricultural system.
Does GK101M need additional vehicle antennas?
GK101M integration uses its specified external antenna and receiver arrangement. Dual-antenna heading needs two suitable antennas and a defined baseline; these vehicle-side items are separate from the GB30 reference kit.
Can a farm use the tunnel without a dedicated public IP?
Yes, the network tunnel is intended to avoid a dedicated public IP, port forwarding and a dedicated line. Ordinary internet access, compatible clients and a deployment-specific capacity check remain necessary.
Separate RTK corrections from machine-control integration
Does GB30 provide a tractor steering controller?
GB30 provides GNSS reference correction data and a Caster service. Steering control, actuators, guidance software and machine safety functions belong to the selected agricultural system and require separate integration.
How should an agricultural RTK deployment be tested?
Test the GNSS reference coordinates, antenna placement, correction reception and baseline across the actual work area. Check mobile internet availability and the machine terminal data path under operating conditions.
