RTK Base Station Solutions for Land Surveying
Plan fixed GNSS reference infrastructure for survey control, boundary observations and topographic data collection. Connect compatible RTK rovers and rugged field devices to the GB30 reference service.

Give survey crews a known correction source for control checks, topographic observations and repeat site visits. GB30 keeps the local reference base and NTRIP Caster in one indoor unit.
The field challenge
The reference coordinates, antenna setup and correction source must stay consistent between crews and visits. A connection icon alone does not confirm that observations are suitable for the project.

A reference-to-field architecture
Start with one GB30 complete kit in Local Base Station mode. Its own reference source is served by the integrated Caster. Use direct NTRIP when the service is reachable, or a compatible network tunnel when a dedicated public IP is unavailable.

Deployment example
The following illustrates a project workflow; it is not a report of a commissioned customer installation.
A survey contractor returns to the same development area over several project stages. Instead of treating each visit as an isolated setup, the team fixes an outdoor GNSS antenna at a stable reference point, keeps GB30 powered indoors, and gives each rover or RTK handheld the appropriate NTRIP source settings.
Establish the reference
Verify the antenna monument, coordinate reference frame, height convention and antenna reference before accepting the base coordinates.
Connect the field receiver
Configure the source mountpoint and credentials in the compatible rover or RTK client. Use RTKGO to inspect connection and receiver status on the selected HUGEROCK device.
Check before collecting
Observe an independent check point and review solution status, correction age and antenna conditions before accepting field data.
Keep a handover record
Record the base coordinates, mountpoint, antenna setup and acceptance checks so the next crew uses the same project reference.

Acceptance and handover
• A documented reference position and antenna setup
• Repeat check-point results against the project tolerance
• Stable correction delivery across the intended working area
• Compatible field software, receiver access and export format
Define your quotation
• How many crews and simultaneous RTK clients will share the source?
• What coordinate system, check-point procedure and working baseline are required?
• Will clients use direct NTRIP, tunnel access or an existing correction service?
Common project questions
Can GB30 replace a separate survey base and Caster computer?
In Local Base Station mode, GB30 combines its own GNSS reference source with the NTRIP Caster in one ARM device. Field receivers, antenna installation and project validation are still required.
Does RTK Fixed status guarantee survey accuracy?
No. Validate reference coordinates, baseline, sky visibility, antenna setup, correction age and independent check points against the project requirements.
Which HUGEROCK devices fit a mobile survey crew?
Compare G60M for a compact handheld workflow and G71M for a larger, bright portrait workspace. Confirm the surveying application, GNSS access method and final antenna configuration.
What survey teams should confirm before deployment
Can GB30 provide RTK corrections to survey rovers?
Compatible NTRIP rover clients can receive a reachable GB30 correction stream. Confirm message compatibility, mountpoint, reference frame, antenna height handling and known-point checks before accepting survey observations.
Does a fixed base station guarantee survey accuracy?
No. Results depend on reference coordinates, baseline, sky visibility, antenna setup, correction age and receiver performance. Validate against independent control and the project tolerances.
